BrickDickRick BACKWHEN and Watermane continue to be a dependable duo for chilled-out, instrumental phonk I keep returning to. Awash with ethereal textures and tones with steady, snappy rhythms holding it all together--tracks come and go at just the right pacing, never over staying their welcome. While a bit more progressive elements could be desirable, the release as a whole (and the tracks therein) do not drag out: a genre pitfall for sure when there is a lack of variance, beat-switches, progressions, etc.
